The Vanderbilt Innovation and Entrepreneurship Society (VINES) will be hosting its flagship event, 48 Hour Launch, on Saturday and Sunday, March 30-31. 48 Hour Launch is a two-day startup weekend for undergraduate students to form a team, develop an idea, and pitch to a panel of professional judges to win thousands of dollars in prizes, including the opportunity to pitch to two high-impact venture capital firms and tickets to TechStars Startup Weekend. This unique experience will be led by Andrew King, Vanderbilt graduate and a graduate of Y-Combinator, the world’s most prestigious accelerator program, producing companies such as Airbnb, Stripe, Dropbox, Reddit, Twitch, and more. Andrew will help teams develop their companies through the ultimate learning experience providing all types of students, not only entrepreneurs, with incredible skills and a mindset ripe for creating impact in the workplace. The event will also provide students with one-on-one mentorship and guidance from a number of accomplished mentors with a variety of backgrounds including finance, consulting, technology, law, engineering and marketing. The goal of 48 Hour Launch is to provide attendees with a truly remarkable weekend of learning, networking, and potentially the start to something transformative.
